Back in Möre
Hello Folks,
It’s been a while since the last post, more than a year. But we’re back now making new music. We’ll keep you updated at twitter.com/heartsnostatic. New album in progress. We’re taking a new direction and so far it’s been going great. We’re meeting up once a week at Möre Studio writing new songs. The actual recording starts after the summer.
As for the kids… Gunnar can walk by now. And Doris, the child of JRO just turned 7 months.

A short note
Since the release of Motif all Heart No Static members have been involved in the recording of the upcoming The Grand Opening album. It’s finished now and will be released later this year.
John Roger plays drums in Will Gambola Sing. An instrumental pop band that just released their debut album on the japanese label Friend of Mine Records. More info here. WGS will throw a release party at Landet, Hägersten on April 28. Jens will join WGS on the show playing synth, percussion and second drumkit. Don’t miss this event.
We are also celeberating the birth of Otto and his fiancée Sara Majs first child Gunnar. Welcome Gunnar!
HNS will start recording a new album in May. We’ll keep this site updated.

The Monthly Noise
Hearts No Static are a trio from Stockholm and this digital EP is their debut before their debut, a small taste of what’s to come when their full-length album is released in November. The songs on this release are rooted in improvisation, but you might not ever know, so connected are the three members as a single, cohesive unit. They all play in other, far more gregarious bands, but consider this is their playground; the place they can experiment with new ideas, new textures, new feelings.
“The monthly noise” was originally slated to be the 4th in a 4-part series of digital EPs, but now it is the first. The full-length record “Motif” will be releasing on November 20 via Bureau B. All tracks are self-recorded by the band at Möre Studio outside Stockholm in early 2009 and mixed my Linus Larsson (Peter Bjorn and John, Ane Brun, Theresa Andersson, etc.) of Gotland in late summer.
